Charlet is in unspoilt countryside, in the heart of the regional park of Perigord Limousin - South East of the old town of Rochechouart with its imposing chateau and church with its famous twisted spire - close to the historical route of Richard the Lionheart and the town of Chalus, where he died.

All meals are home cooked with as many garden products as possible.
Breakfast is served in the large, sunny, family dinning room downstairs or, weather permitting, on the terrace over-looking the garden.
Evening meals 'en famille' are available on request (carafe of wine included) indoors or on the terrace looking at the sunset, with the candles flickering. We are happy to cater for vegetarians. BBQ's with the family can be arranged on Summer evenings and picnic lunches can be prepared for a day outing.

The pilgrimage walk to Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain, one of the most important shrines in Christendom, crosses Charlet which adds to the many private walks already existing on the property.

We are able to supply a wide range of tourist information and maps about the surrounding area.
There is ample space on the premises and we are equipped for badminton, volleyball, basketball, croquet, archery, ping-pong and snooker for indoor sports, games and large selection of books in our library. Bicycles are available for use.
